Swirl Marks

Just hit some fairly fresh (couple of days out of the molds) GFRC with some burnishing pads @ 400 then 800 and got a little bit of some interesting swirling effects on the surface. Didn't dry sand with this time, the client didn't want to see any agg. I'm hoping that I can work them out with a little bit of more time with the 800. Anyone had this issue or have suggestions?See More

"Grinding will expose the aggregate, not that that is a bad thing but will change the look.  A slurry coat will also look different than the top.  Open cell foam works best when you know you will be doing some polishing.  Closed cell…"

Edge Fix

I recently sprayed a vanity top and for the most part I'm very happy with the way it turned out with the exception of the eye sore of the opening for the sink! I used open cell foam (first mistake) covered with the red vinyl tape. The shape of the foam looked like it was going to be fine but when I stripped it out last night it was fairly inconsistent. I cannot install as is and was hoping to salvage the top. I would like to slightly over grind the opening and then fill it in with colored…See More
